Stay Connected When the Internet Goes Down

When signal and data disappear, Bridgefy - Offline Messages keeps you connected. It is a free offline messaging app that works through Bluetooth, letting you send and receive messages even without Wi-Fi or mobile data.

With the recent earthquakes across the Philippines and the upcoming Trillion Peso March Movement demonstration in November, many people are looking for safer, offline ways to communicate when networks fail.

Why Download Bridgefy

You never know when you might lose Internet access. Bridgefy can help you stay in touch during:

  • Natural disasters like earthquakes, typhoons, or volcanic eruptions

  • Large events where networks often get congested

  • Protests and community gatherings where data may be blocked or overloaded

  • Remote travel to rural areas with weak signal

Bridgefy is light, free, and simple. Once installed, you can message friends nearby instantly, even when the Internet is down.

How Bridgefy Works

Bridgefy uses Bluetooth to send messages directly between phones within about 100 meters (330 feet) which is roughly the size of a football field.

If you need to reach someone farther away, your message will hop through other Bridgefy users’ phones until it gets to them. This is called a Bluetooth mesh network, where every user becomes a small part of a bigger communication chain.

The more people nearby using Bridgefy, the stronger and wider your network becomes.

Before You Need It

  1. Download Bridgefy from the App Store or Google Play.

  2. Test it offline with your family or community.

  3. Keep it installed for emergencies.

You can’t predict when the Internet will fail, but you can be ready when it does.
